What do you love about ORU?

I love how ORU unites people from all around the world! The students, professors, and staff are all unique individuals who form the exceptional ORU community which so quickly and easily becomes a home away from home. I graduated from ORU with more than a diploma; it is here that I met my friends for a lifetime. I love that ORU has allowed me to play a role in God’s commission to Oral Roberts, to “Raise up your students to hear My voice, to go where My light is dim, where My voice is heard small, and My healing power is not known.” The adventurer within me is excited to take what I have learned at ORU and leave a lasting impression wherever my path leads. My time at ORU has authored some of the greatest memories I will forever treasure.

What do you enjoy most about working with International and Expatriate Students?

What I enjoy most about working with International Students is learning about their culture and hearing their personal stories. These students are committed to excellence and hard work and truly enhance the unique and diverse community of Oral Roberts University. International students come to ORU from all over the world because they share the vision of our Founder, Oral Roberts, to “Make No Small Plans Here”.

What activities were you involved in at ORU?

I was involved in several outreach programs such as Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Tulsa Dream Center, The Hope Academy, and the Missions Department’s yearly Spring and Fall Outreach. I was a wing Chaplain for two years in Upper Claudius where I lived on the Women’s Basketball Floor (Go Lady Eagles!). I also joined Missions for my final year at ORU and was a member of ORU’s Pioneer trip to Ireland.

What's your favorite thing to do in Tulsa?

Tulsa has many hidden treasures that ORU students are able to explore. Some of my favorite moments have been camping at Lake Ten Killer, enjoying breakfast bagels at Old School Bagel Café, watching early morning sun rises at Turkey Mountain, tasting coffee at the endless coffee shops, and exploring the Arts & Cultural Districts in downtown Tulsa.
