Library Computer Support Specialist

A Brief Overview:

Serves as IT Services support for the ORU Library to enable faculty, staff and students access to equipment, and software. Some duties include answering Tier 1 inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operations. This position will also provide computer support by preparing computers, troubleshooting and resolving computer, peripherals, and network connectivity problems. This position is vital in ensuring that all computer equipment is running efficiently and is responsible for training library staff on how to effectively/efficiently use computer equipment. Among other duties assigned.

The Library computer support specialist may require occasional work outside of and in addition to the normally scheduled office hours, including evenings and weekends as dictated.


What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven ability and problem solving skills.

         Ability to work independently.

         Knowledge and experience with Windows 7, outlook, Mac OS, remote desktop and MS office products required. (Experience with AD, Windows 8.1 and desktop imaging tools preferred.)

         High School Diploma or GED required.  Vocational or Technical School training/certification in related field highly preferred.

         A+ certification required.  Other computer related certifications will be given consideration.

         Requires one year work experience OR equivalent technical school training.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: 

sitting, standing, stooping, walking, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, manual dexterity for use of office equipment, climbing hand over hand, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and minimal lifting or carrying of 51 lbs or more.  Vision to include: near, far, depth perception, visual accommodation, color and field of vision.

Senior Institutional Research Associate

Senior Institutional Research Associate



Conduct and analyze surveys and research used to support short and long term assessment and planning goals of the University. Will be responsible for assessment, evaluation, and quality control of online programs. Work closely with the Dean of Online and Life Long Learning with certificate assessment, both for credit and not for credit certificates. Analyze various data sets in order to compile periodic reports and publications; complete external surveys from third party constituents; assist with national survey administration; write summary reports of survey results. Assist in implementation of the program review and assessment processes. Assist with ePortfolio training and help desk. Maintain institutional research and assessment web sites. Prepare statistical reports and data used in response to both internal and external requests; must be capable of establishing and maintaining working relationships with the Colleges and departments. Will also assist with accreditation and program review functions. Other responsibilities as needs arise.



Doctorate in computer science, statistics, management information systems, educational measurement, or a quantitative social science. Higher education experience preferred. Must possess extensive knowledge of empirical research methodology, sampling techniques, higher order statistical analysis, and corresponding software. Ability to use SQL for extracting information and completing reports in an Oracle environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Effective organizational skills and time management skills are indispensable.

Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations


A Brief Overview:

Oral Roberts University is conducting a global search for a Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations.  This is an exciting time to join the ORU community as we celebrate our 50th anniversary!  The Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations serves on the Oral Roberts University leadership team and reports directly to the President.  The successful candidate will have a passion for the ORU Alumni Association and ORUís heritage and traditions and will model Christ-like behaviors.

Leadership Style:

Results-oriented team leader adept at collaboratively planning, prioritizing, organizing and executing ORUís development, fundraising, and alumni relations strategic initiatives.  Seasoned leader who demonstrates qualities of fairness, creativity, diplomacy, integrity, trustworthiness, decisiveness and sound-judgment.  Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse group of cross functional teams to foster a culture of service excellence. 

Core Competencies

Excellent public speaking and written communications skills required for both formal and extemporaneous presentations.  Ability to confidently represent ORU to a wide variety of individuals and groups, both internally and externally, through written, verbal, interpersonal, and multi-media communications.  Must demonstrate the ability and personality necessary to convey to alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and other contributors the need and benefits of private giving to non-profit Christian institutions of higher education. 


Bachelorís degree required; Masterís preferred.  Ten or more years of successful practical experience in capital campaigns, planned giving, major donor development, solicitation, alumni/public relations, and direct response marketing.  Senior-level leadership experience, preferably in a college or university setting.  Must adhere to ORUís Code of Honor.  Frequent out-of-town travel may be required.  Travel to include international and domestic air and ground transportation.  A valid driverís license and a valid passport are required.
