Accounts Payable & Opening Dept.

A Brief Overview:

Performs clerical and administrative duties in support of the Accounts Payable/Opening Room department.  Responsible for the processing and distributing of incoming mail to the campus, accurate recording and depositing of monies, maintaining of spreadsheets for certain accounts, and inputting information into the Finance system.  

What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven ability and problem solving skills.

         Real world examples of Data Entry skills.

         Ability to work independently.

         A High School Diploma or GED.

         One year of experience.

Digital Media Specialist

A Brief Overview:

Utilizing current and emerging web tools to advance the Marketing mission the Digital Media Specialist will be the primary leader in the use of digital communication tools for the marketing of campus-supported endeavors. The primary role will involve the development of digital media projects and provide input on leading edge digital media hardware and software. This position requires proficiency in standard web design, WordPress development, web app development, mobile web development, writing for the web, and aptitude for mastering emerging tools and trends

What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven ability and problem solving skills.

         Real world examples of digital media management and development

         Experience in coding HTML, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript ASP.net and SLQ preferred.

         Ability to work independently.

Director of Alumni Relations

A Brief Overview:

Directs and manages alumni relations for ORU.  Provides strategy and direction for establishing and improving relationships with alumni and friend-raising/fundraising through building and maintaining relationships.  Manages the implementation of programs and activities designed to generate better, deeper and broader relationships with ORUís graduates and former students.

This position implements strategies and coordinates the work of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.  Provides strategic leadership in creating a comprehensive program that engages alumni to renew and strengthen their connection to Oral Roberts University. Plans, directs, and/or supervises alumni programs and develops ways to continually and effectively educate, cultivate, solicit and motivate alumni.  Oversees all Alumni related local, state, and national special projects and events from project start to finish. 

What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven success in conducting effective market analysis for the purpose of educating, cultivating and soliciting target group. 

         Real world examples of demonstrated leadership while working with university-age students.

         Ability to work independently.

         Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.

         4 years of experience in development, solicitations, alumni/public relations, marketing, or related field. 

         A Bachelorís degree in a related field. (Masterís degree/ORU Graduate Preferred)

Director of International Student Experience

A Brief Overview:

To direct and oversee the Center for International Student Experience, and all functions, activities, and events.

This position will create and implement programming for international student transition, student involvement, and persistence towards graduation.  Provide instructional assistance for international students to understand and utilize available resources of the University. Advises and counsel international students. Conduct monthly community meetings with the international student body and specific demographics. This position will also collaborate with other University departments and handles inquiries from both inside and outside of the university in regards to activities, ISO, and general international student experience information.

The Social Media Specialist role is responsible for the ongoing management and growth of Oral Roberts Universityís social media presence in alignment with our culture, strategies, and direction. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the social media space. This position will also create, manage and grow organizational presence across social media channels, including, but not limited to blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.

Student Services Group Representative

A Brief Overview:

To support recruitment and retention efforts by assisting current and prospective ORU students and their parents to understand their financial aid and student accounts and the process of completing registration each semester.

Some duties include counseling current and prospective students and their parents via phone, email and in person regarding financial aid application processes, federal verification regulations, packaging of aid and disbursement policies and procedures as well as account balances, refunds and payment plan options, using a detailed working knowledge of federal requirements (e.g. FERPA, Veterans Programs, International Student Guidelines, Department of Education Policies)and institutional policies (e.g. Housing, Student Development, Registrar's Office, Career Services Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, etc).

What you'll need to be successful:

         Ability to work independently.

         A High School Diploma or GED. (Bachelorís degree is preferred.)

         Three years of experience in customer service.

Vice President for University Development and Alumni Relations

Oral Roberts University is conducting a global search for a Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations.  This is an exciting time to join the ORU community as they celebrate their 50th anniversary!  The Vice President, Development and Alumni Relations serves on the Oral Roberts University leadership team and reports directly to the President.  The Vice President will be a results-oriented team leader adept at collaboratively planning, prioritizing, organizing and executing ORUís development, fundraising, and alumni relations strategic initiatives.  The Vice President will have a passion for the ORU Alumni Association and ORUís heritage and traditions.  The Vice President will model Christ-like behaviors and exhibit qualities of fairness, creativity, diplomacy, integrity, trustworthiness, decisiveness and sound-judgment.

Required Qualifications: Bachelorís degree required; Masterís preferred.  Ten or more years of successful practical experience in capital campaigns, planned giving, major donor development, solicitation, alumni/public relations, and direct response marketing.  Senior-level leadership experience, preferably in a college or university setting.  Ability to confidently represent ORU to a wide variety of individuals and groups, both internally and externally, through written, verbal, interpersonal, and multi-media communications. Excellent public speaking and written communications skills required for both formal and extemporaneous presentations.  Must demonstrate the ability and personality necessary to convey to alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and other contributors the need and benefits of private giving to non-profit Christian institutions or higher education.  Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse group of cross functional teams to foster a culture of service excellence.  Must adhere to ORUís Code of Honor.  Frequent out-of-town travel may be required.  Travel to include international and domestic air and ground transportation.  A valid driverís license and a valid passport are required.
