Administrative Secretary for Career Services

Full-Time

A Brief Overview:

Provides the necessary administrative support to the Career Services department.  Ensures the efficient operations of all activities within the department; coordinates and assists with the interaction of students, alumni, faculty and staff of ORU, and the representatives of external organizations engaged in student employment/ career related activities with Career Services.  Provides backup and support to the activities of the Director and Career Advisor in their absence or during periods of high volume of student activity.

Duties include answering and screens incoming telephone calls, providing relevant information to employers, supplying instructions to students in regards to online resources, post with job postings/internships, process necessary paperwork for employment, greet a screen offices visitors, answer and screen incoming phone calls and other duties assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven ability and problem solving skills.

         Ability to work independently.

         A High School Diploma or GED.

         Three years of applicable experience.

Campus Event Assistant- Part-Time Temporary Employee

A Brief Overview:

This position assists the Director of CES/Facility Services and/or the Event Coordinator Assistant with events and projects across campus and work in various capacities within event management. This position also assists in the timely completion of all work orders and/or job assignment and in the organization and inventory of all furniture on campus. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director or EC Assistant.

This position is scheduled 08/10/2014 to 05/16/2015.

A Brief Overview:

The Event Coordinator Assistant is a temporary, part-time employee who assists the Director of Facility Services and the CES Event Coordinators in the daily operations of event management and facilitation.  This includes event planning, research, marketing, social media, registration, guest relations, facility walk-through, event set-up/tear-down, monitoring buildings and events, and special requests. To include: Campus events, Mabee Center events, Athletic events and Third Party clientele.  Requires 20 hours per week.

Front Desk Lead Attendant for Aerobics Center

A Brief Overview:

The primary function and purpose of this position is to provide reception support for the Aerobics Center, to assist with clerical support for the Aerobics Center Director and to manage the front desk operations to manage the front desk operations and to ensure the comfort and safety of all patrons.   This position will manage all aspects of the front desk, including greeting all people entering the building, communicating with staff workers, checking out facility equipment, and other duties assigned.
