Administrative Assistant for Auxiliary Services

Full-time

Provides administrative support for the Director for Auxiliary Services.  Assists the Director in any number of day-to-day operational duties for the Auxiliary Services and the Campus Operations departments.  Typical duties would include answering phones, composing written or email correspondence, processing paperwork such as requisitions and contracts, maintaining and updating computer and paper files, preparing reports, data entry and assisting with special events and promotions.

Requires a High School diploma or GED; some business education course work preferred.  Requires one year experience in customer service and cash handling; secretarial experience preferred.  Must have proficiency working with computers specifically MS Word, Excel.   Must be willing to learn other software applications as they related to the Auxiliary Services departments.  Must have the ability to adjust from one assignment to another and manage multi-tasks Excellent grammar, punctuation, mathematical, spelling, verbal, organizational, and multi-tasking ,communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.  Must be detail-oriented  and maintain a professional demeanor with regards to outward response(s) and appearance keeping a customer service centered approach at all times. Must have an eye for detail and have the ability to meet prescribed deadlines. 

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, twisting of upper body, and manual dexterity for operation of office machines and/or equipment.  Vision to include: near, far, and visual accommodation.  Minimal lifting of up to 25 pounds of office equipment/supplies; includes carrying of office supplies.

Administrative Secretary for Empowered21

Full-time

Provides secretarial and clerical support to the Empowered21 department.

Requires a High School diploma or GED and two years of applicable experience and keyboarding skills with accuracy.  Computer experience required to include MS Word, Excel, and Access.  Must have the ability to effectively balance and prioritize multi-tasks in the midst of a high-paced office environment.  Must have proven ability to maintain an eye for details.  Requires excellent reading, spelling, grammatical, mathematical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.  Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times. 

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:

Customer Service Representative for Student Health (Part-time)

Part-time

Handles/facilitates clerical duties of Student Health Services, as well as, receives, tracks, records, and maintains student medical assessment and immunization forms.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, a minimum of two years clerical experience to include data entry, with exposure to the medical profession preferred.  Requires keyboarding skills with accuracy.  Cash handling experience preferred.  Must have computer skills such as Excel and Word and be able to use a printer, scanner, and fax machine.  Excellent customer service, written, mathematical, verbal, phone, and interpersonal skills a must.  Must be able to work under stress and handle situations dealing with upset individuals. Must be able to make quick decisions, prioritize, organize, and multitask. Must have the ability to adjust from one assignment to another when needed.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  sitting, standing, stooping, walking, repetitive motions while using computer, and minimal lifting of file, computer, or printer boxes weighing 25 lbs. or less.  Requires good hearing, near and far vision.  This is a medical office environment; therefore, there is exposure to sick students. 

Work schedule will be 20 to 25 hours per week.

Front Desk Attendant for the Armand Hammer Alumni Student Center

Full-time

Provide support to all patrons entering the Armand Hammer Student Alumni center.

Requires a High School diploma or GED.  No experience required.  Previous clerical experience of various duties helpful.  Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skills.  Must be personable and able to meet and greet customers with a cheerful attitude.  Must be knowledgeable of information needed to accurately answer questions about the facility and be detailed oriented.  Ability to make decisions and act effectively in stressful situations required.  Must have basic computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel helpful.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, manual dexterity for operation of office equipment, and twisting of upper body.  Vision to include near, far, depth, and color.   Exposure to fumes and odors associated with dusting and cleaning. Minimal exposure to cleaning fluids as well as body fluids.  Occasional high noise environment due to an over-sized movie screen and concerts that may occur in the commons area.  Minimal exposure to dust, dirt, and/or grease environment due to food court area.  Vision to include:  near, far, peripheral, visual accommodation, color, and depth perception.  Requires good hearing, vision (far, color, and depth.) 

Hours are Monday, 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm, and Tuesday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 1:30 am.

Summer Camp/Conference Aid

Dates: 5/5/2014 - 8/8/2014

The Summer Camp/Conference Aide is a temporary, full-time employee that assists the Director of Conference & Event Services in the daily operations of summer camp/conference programs.  This includes registration, guest relations, lock outs, dorm walk-throughs, event setup/strike, monitoring buildings and events, and special requests. 

Requires a High School diploma or GED and good interpersonal and organizational skills. Highly prefer knowledge of Oral Robertís University residence halls and meeting spaces.  Requires basic clerical abilities with strong attention to detail.  Must be courteous and service-oriented, have a commitment to quality service, and ability to work well in a team.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  sitting, standing, stooping, standing walking, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, twisting of upper body, running, stooping, pushing and/or pulling, manual dexterity for operation of office machines/equipment.  Vision to include: near, far, visual accommodation, depth perception, and color.  Frequently carrying water up to 25lbs. 

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of climates: heat, cold, wet and dry. 

Hours fluctuate depending on events.  Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
