Academic Services Assistant - Distance Learning

Full-time

Provides quality customer service to Distance Learning students by assisting them through all aspects of the enrollment process, and regularly communicates with current students offering support or assistance providing a positive educational experience.

Requires two (2) years of college coursework; coursework in business or education is preferred.  One year of applicable experience is preferred.  Requires keyboarding skills with accuracy and have a keen eye for detail and maintains extreme accuracy for the purpose of creating and maintaining accurate student records.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are paramount for effective communication with both internal and external persons that might include: students, administration, vendors, parents, etc., all of which represent diverse backgrounds.  Must have ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with students, faculty, university staff, and administration.  Works cooperatively and tactfully with a variety of personalities.  Good mathematical, reading, oral, written, and grammatical skills are required.  Good written, spelling, grammatical and verbal communication skills are a must in regards to consistent and accurate documentation and communication.  

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting of upper body, and manual dexterity for the operation of office machines/equipment.  Vision to include:  near, far, visual accommodation, color, and depth perception.  Must be able to hear sound(s) clearly and distinctly in order to effectively receive, understand and reiterate information.

Communications/Credentials Clerk – Undergraduate Admissions

Full-time

This position serves as a vital member of the Admissions Processing Team and is responsible for data input integrity, credentials evaluation and letter/label generation.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, 6 months experience as data-entry, accurate keyboarding skills, and experience in Microsoft Word.  Previous experience in an educational setting preferred.  Must possess ability to work under stress and accomplish several tasks simultaneously.  Must be highly organized and have great attention for detail.  Computer experience required and an ability to learn other computer systems/software.  Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills and be detailed oriented.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  bending, standing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting of upper body.  Manual dexterity for operation of office machines/equipment.  Vision to include near, far, color and visual accommodation. Requires occasional lifting of 35-40 pounds.  Requires the ability to manipulate a two-wheel dolly for the purpose of transporting large quantities of mail. 

Customer Service Rep and a Greeter - Eagle Card Center

Registration Week

Will be assisting with all clerical duties of the office.

Executive Administrative Assistant - Exec. VP for University Advancement

Full-time

Under the direct supervision of the vice president this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the vice president and department. In addition to being responsible for general office operation, performs duties such as financial record keeping, payroll, coordinating mass and individual mailings, coordination of meetings, travel, and conferences, obtaining supplies, and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

Requires five (5) years administrative secretarial experience to upper level management, typing of 60 wpm.   Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Access.  Excellent communication, interpersonal, grammar, punctuation, and organizational skills are required.  Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.  Requires good mathematical, spelling, verbal skills organizational, and multi-tasking skills.  Must have an eye for detail and ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.  Must have the ability to learn quickly and use good judgment regarding policies and procedures.

Sr. Administrative Assistant - Enrollment Management

Full-time

Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Vice President for Enrollment Management.    

Requires a High School diploma or GED and five (5) years administrative/secretarial experience and typing of 60 wpm with accuracy required.   Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, and Excel.  Familiarity with Power Point is a plus.  Must be willing to learn other software applications as they relate to the department.

Customer service mindset with excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.  Must enjoy and work productively in an environment that requires flexibility and multi-tasking.   Must  be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.  Requires good grammar, punctuation, mathematical, spelling, and proofreading skills.  Must have an eye for detail and the ability to work under stress while meeting prescribed deadlines.   Must have the ability to learn quickly and use good judgment regarding policies and procedures.

Vault Teller - Student Accounts

Full-time

Controls the receiving and disbursal of monies through the vault, insures that the amounts of funds are secure and accurate, and receives deposits from all University sources.

High School Diploma or GED required.  Prefer some college coursework in business, math, or accounting.  Requires six (6) months cash handling experience, preferably bank teller or equivalent, and a 10-key test.  Must be able to handle pressure well and make decisions independently.  Good math, communication/verbal, and organizational skills and the ability to maintain an attitude of professionalism are required.  Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills needed.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to:  sitting, standing, stooping, and walking.  Requires repetitive motions.
