1st Class Engineer

Full-Time

A Brief Overview:

To assist in the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the CityPlex Towers Central Plant under the direct supervision of the Chief Engineer.  Consisting of operating and maintaining, but not limited to the following systems; high pressure steam boilers, heat exchangers, chillers, cooling towers, water distribution (pumps), water treatment, electrical distribution and essential emergency systems (stand-by generators and fire pumps).

What you'll need to be successful:   

         A service-minded attitude.

         Proven ability and problem solving skills.

         Real world examples of effectively using mechanical and computer equipment.

         Ability to work independently.

         4 years of experience in the field.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: 

Sitting, standing, stooping, standing walking, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, climbing, twisting of upper body, handling by seizing, holding, grasping, or turning hands, but without finger dexterity, and balancing to prevent falling or erratic movement, climbing hand-over-hand. 

Vision to include near, color, depth perception, and field vision.  Manual dexterity for operation of equipment/machines.  Exposure to hazards:  mechanical, electrical, high-pressure steam, radiation, fume/odors, dust/mites and chemical hazards.  Working indoors and outdoors -- could include periods of extreme temperatures and extreme noise.  Lifting 50 lbs. to 100 lbs. such as motors, compressors, misc.

 

Security Officer - Part Time

A Brief Overview:

Officers perform safety, loss prevention, parking and traffic control duties on the University campus.  Conducts regular vehicular and foot patrols and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. The Officer enforces University parking and traffic regulations, provides directions and information, and renders assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus. 

Some duties include maintaining a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors as well as University buildings, facilities, and grounds by regularly patrolling assigned areas, observing for unauthorized personnel or activities, enforcing University rules, regulations and policies and reporting violations to appropriate authority, checking doors and locks for proper operation, securing and locking buildings and windows as directed, rendering assistance and responding to emergency situations as appropriate and other duties as assigned.

Must be able to meet minimum firearms qualifications requirements of 70% with a department handgun.  An armed CLEET License will be required within 90 days of hire. Must maintain an excellent driving record and be bondable. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driverís license and have an excellent driving record for the purpose of driving University vehicle.  Prefer candidate with CPR/First Aid Training.

What you'll need to be successful:

         High School Diploma or GED.

         A Valid Driverís License

         2 years of experience in a law enforcement or security related field.

Physical Demands & Requirements: will include but not be limited to: sitting, standing for prolonged periods of time, bending, stooping, walking, running, crouching, manual dexterity for operation of equipment related to the field and office machines/computer equipment, twisting of upper body, and the ability to climb hand-over-hand.  Must wear duty belt weighing 6 lbs while on duty.  Vision to include: near, far, visual accommodation, color, peripheral and depth perception.  Must have the ability to hear sounds clearly and distinctly.  There will be occasional exposure to paper dust/mites, and electrical hazards associated with computer equipment.  On occasion there may be lifting of up to 75 pounds or more.   Must have the ability to physically subdue an individual in the event circumstances require.
